:: If the life vest fits... ::

I decided with three months to go that I NEEDED to go paddling one last time while my life vest still fit... and I could still wiggle myself into the kayak. So Steve and I headed out to Lone Rone for one last hurrah (although.. knowing me, if there's ANY chance we can go again, I'm there). It was hot out, at least 90 degrees. The water temp was surprisingly mild for April and we paddled out to our favorite secret island and ate some lunch, relaxed a bit and then returned to shore. I was tired. I definitely whined more than usual :-) but what do you expect? I was paddling for two!!

:: A week back east ::

I'm finally getting a chance to blog after our crazy week back in PA. I apologize that we weren't able to spend more time with everyone and if we didn't get to see you at all... we are sorry! It was a very busy trip with little time. Thankfully the weather cooperated for most of our journey. That's not to say we didn't encounter a road bump.. the trip back to Utah was a disaster. When we landed in Dallas for a brief layover, tornados stopped all flights in their path and after wandering the airport for over 9 hours (and my pregnancy hormones making life miserable for everyone....) we finagled a room in a roach motel (pretty much because I was flipping out and pregnant.. I think I scared the guy behind the desk). We eventually got a flight back the next morning and I can honestly say I have never been happier to see the Vegas airport.

But back to our time in PA... wow! time flew! We got to meet Conrad, Stacey and Joe's latest addition. He's AWESOME! And Boulder got bigger, too (is that possible?) We got to finally meet David III who is rapidly approaching ONE! What a cutie! And we also met baby Logan, 2 months, another adorable little boy. All these little ones are making me excited to meet my son!! It was really fun getting to hold such a small little person. Thank you Denise and Todd (and Zoe, who really couldn't have cared less for us.. she was too busy with her sheepy) for inviting us over.

Stacey and Jeremy... thank you for meeting us for Hibachi. It was great seeing you both (hope next time it's out in our neck of the woods.. hint hint).

On Sunday was my baby shower at my mom's house. That was pretty much the highlight of the trip. I got to see so many people that I haven't seen in ages... Gabby, Steph and Natalie, Jillian AND Jeff, Cheryl, Peter, Megs and Ulises, Dawn, Sunday and Zander... thank you all for coming!! I wish we had more time.

I guess next time we are in PA we'll have one more person with us.. :) stay tuned..

:: Yay! My new blog! ::

Finally. I know you've all been eagerly waiting the launch of my new site. I hope it will live up to "Our Red Rocks Adventure." I had so many problems with Friendster that it just wasn't worth it anymore for me to post there and give them my money.

The latest "news" is that I found out I won a photo contest! Weee!! Our town and surrounding area hosts a competition to submit photos for the cover of The Kanab Guide (which tells about fun stuff to do in the area, etc.) My picture of Steve standing on top of a rock overlooking Horseshoe Bend won! Check it out :-)
