Mommy was in bed ALL day today with the flu! But don't worry, daddy has EVERYTHING under control. The boys have a fun time shooting things and blowing up enemies.
After the cruddy week that Harry had it was really cool to get a package from grammy!!! He loves his new soft doggie and his awesome teether which is really coming in handy since he's cuttin a few pearly whites as I type! check out the drool.
The weather warmed up just enough to get out of the house, which I think EVERYONE needed after our scary/sick/rashy week. Harry still isn't feeling up to par, but I think he enjoyed the walk, especially when the neighbor's dogs barked their heads off at him :-)
We also should report that Harry is getting his first tooth. It's about 1/4 the way out, and it's making him SUPER upset. Thank God we don't remember these traumatic childhood events when we get older!!
Harry wants everyone to know... that he is feeling MUCH better today, thank you :) He woke up smiling like usual and trying to grab Mack's beard and Gandalf's tail. He's still a little rashy but he's definitely HAPPIER and bouncy again. Being a mom is certainly a terrifying task as times.
The last two days have been rough. I feel like I'm living a nightmare and it seems to keep getting worse. Harry has eczema to begin with, and he recently developed an ear infection and when given amoxicillin, he rashed up like crazy and looked like a lobster. I'm allergic to penicillin so it didn't shock me. Okay. So, we switched to a new antibiotic and he immediately flared up WORSE and we had to go to the hospital. He was so itchy and miserable. He looked like one huge red hive. I am a mess, he's a mess... it's been pure hell. Here are some pics from this afternoon. Please say a prayer for him that he gets better soon!!!
edited to say: I just looked at my post again and realized... that even with this horrid rash, he's still super cute!!! I love him so much!!! Please please get better my little son!
We are also going to switch him to soy formula and see if he reacts to it since the hypoallergenic is breaking the bank (over $300/month!!) and Dr. B said to go for it w/ the soy. Wish us luck! And, we found out Harry has a pretty bad ear infection!! The doc asked if Harry had been really upset lately or tuggin on his ear. Well, he's never really upset!! and he constantly yanks at his head and ear because of his eczema so we were clueless. He's on some antibiotics now for that!
