:: Two to go... ::

We finished up Harry's room last night (finally!) and have two more to go: Steve's nerdery and our bedroom. Tonight we plan to finish the office.

Harry digs his new floors!

Cute and chubby (harry, that is! Steve's just cute)

:: Construction ZONE ::

The next few weeks are going to be nutty. We started the floor construction this week. It's going pretty good! It looks GREAT! Here are some pics so you can get the general idea. It's a HUGE task, that's for sure! Harry likes the banging and hammering.. typical little boy. (PS sorry for the crappy photo quality.. our camera is goin')

Our pooches, enjoying their "outdoor living".

:: Back to our roots... Happy Easter everyone! ::

Happy Easter! Today we decided to spend the afternoon hiking at Zion. It was Harry's first official "hike." Wow! So much fun! He really loved it. Which is good because it's getting progressively nicer out and I have a feeling we will be getting back into exploring all the amazing places near us again. FINALLY!

Harry's already an old pro at hikin'

My two favorite guys!

Mommy loveeees her Harry! :-)

Daddy had to hike up this huge hill with the little bub on his back! A good workout :)

Harry's first Easter is here! Thanks grammies for the neat Easter baskets :-)

We got to go on a super long walk today because it's so nice outside! 70 degrees!

:: ARGHGHGHGH ::

Harry tries out a NEW teething biscuit. Dairy, wheat and soy free. He likes it... but sadly, he rashed up after chewing on it!! SO FRUSTRATING! Anyhow, I got a few good pics pre-rash.

:: Rolling... and collecting dust along the way. ::

Harry can't quite get the hang of crawling... he sure wants to, but can't figure out how to move when he's up on his hands and knees. His solution? Rolling! Yeh, rolling all over the house, picking up lint and stuff..

Just some random photos from today....

Harry, just waking up from a nap

Just got done rolling....

Glued to the tube.

Num num num... socks YUM

Look out, I'm going to roll again.

Daddy's chair is comfy

Listenin' to tunes

Hello!

Last time to play before bed.

:: Quarantine ::

It was really cold and snowy out today so our pooches had to stay in the bedroom. They didn't seem to mind. Gandalf had a bone, Mack had a bed, and Tae doesn't really care where she is as long as it's warm :) Hopefully tomorrow it will be nicer out so they can play outside. And, once our house adjustments are made (hopefully in 2 months!!) none of this will be a problem!!

:: Serious couch potato ::

Lately Harry is REALLY, I mean REALLY, into Sesame Street. This morning I just let him lounge a bit and he just looked like such a little boy, not a baby.... laying around watching the tube. It was pretty cute.

:: The calm before... ::

None of our supplies to "De-Allergize" our home have arrived yet so we have another lazy weekend. It's nice :)

Harry tries to call mommy on his walkie talkie.

Eye on the prize... just a few more inches....

:: No need for sleep ::

Harry has decided that being awake is very very exciting so basically there's no need to go to bed. :-) It's much more fun to stay awake w/ mom and dad and watch American Idol and eat meatloaf. I don't mind though. He's such a good boy and very entertaining lately.

Daddy taught Harry how to "hug" this week. He now makes "hug arms" when he sees something fun, like Bunnytown or toys.

Dad says "GO TO SLEEP LITTLE BEAN!!"

:: More teeth, less socks ::

I can see/feel 4 more teeth ready to break... this of course makes Hars a bit grumpy, but overall he's a happy sockless kid.

:: opposable thumbs ::

OOOOh big milestone today. Harry figured out how to pick up some bananas and shove them into his mouth... he much rather preferred smashing them in his fists though :)

:: Much better! ::

Harry is feeling much better today. He devoured a bowl of rice, bananas and apples and is really starting to venture out and try new things. Today I put him for a nap while fully awake. After an hour of silence I heard some music playing from his nursery. He managed to figure out how to make his glowie turn on. He was hugging Glowie and smiling when I went in to check things out.

More crawl practice runs...

Yay! an Itch Free day finally!

:: Game plan ::

Well today I think we're all feeling a little better about things. Harry is FEELING better and looking better and after a good cry and good night's sleep, we're a bit more rational today.

We are looking into options to build an outdoor house for our cats. It will have an indoor heated/air conditioned and a cattery attached. I think they'll be super happy here, considering they're already spoiled and know it. This will just inflate their egos a bit more .. "oh, a house for us? thank you! we knew were super special!"

We are also going to rip out our carpets and install laminate throughout the house.

And until Harry gets a bit older the dogs will stay in our back 3 cushy rooms.. the master bed, bath and sunroom. We are going to put in a doggie door for them and so they basically will still live the good life but their dander will stay off of the rashy boy! :)

Harry in his "mommy" shirt. :) I LOVE HARRY!

:: D-Day ::

Today we found out some BAD.. very BAD.. news. Harry has been having frequent and worsening outbreaks of eczema. This latest one nearly had me in the ER last night (imagine a rash as red as grape juice all over your babies chest. OW) Anyhow, went to an allergist today and he is highly allergic to 3 things: Milk (a give in), DOGS, and CATS. Yep. How ironic right? We move to the middle of nowhere to embark on a job only one could dream of, working with animals.. and our son ends up allergic to them! Well, there is some GOOD news. We found out he is NOT allergic to RICE, BANANAS, APPLES, OATS, EGGS or SOY!

Here's Harry enjoying some apples! YUM!!

Allergies? What? I'm still a happy guy. Maybe we can get a pet lizard or snake mom! :)

Give me that spoon!

We have no plan in place right now about how we are going to go about our new path in life. But the main thing is to get the cats out of the house so it looks like we'll be building them their own magnificent palace in our back yard. And for the dogs? Probably more time outside and then their own cozy spots in our sunroom and bedroom.. at least to see if it helps at all???? man this SUCKS!

:: Livin' on the edge ::

Dawn came to visit us in Kanab today! Yah! What a great day... Dawn and Barnes, Steve, harry and I went to Toroweap and it was awesome. Harry liked the Grand Canyon very much. He's a dandy traveler and didn't peep the whole 3 hour trip there and back!

Just like daddy... matching hats!

Me and dawn toast to... not falling off the edge :)

Dawn and Barnes strike a pose... can you FIND them????

Harry is 7 months old tomorrow!!!
