So, the story goes.. we were home for Denise and Todd's beautiful wedding and the whole week was jam packed with visiting family and friends, meeting new puppies (Dugan and Boulder), touring new houses (stacey and joe!! your home is awesome!!), and just general craziness and jet lag and even some crappy illness. On Sunday my mom cooked a yummy dinner for us and my sister and I had a fun night of bar hopping and sister bonding ahead (a final horrah in PA) and steve was going to spend the night playing some pingpong w/ his dad and hanging out with his mom and bro, too. I really NEVER thought he would also be out wrapping up the final touches on the beautiful sparkly ring (isn't it awesome???) that he would give to me the next morning and leave me speechless!!

My sis and I stayed the night at the Comfort Suites in Bethlehem after a super fun night (Yum! Tally Ho Cheesesteak fries! i recommend them!) and in the AM we were both asleep when Steve called! Our flight out of Philly was later in the afternoon and he wanted to know when he should come pick me up so that we could get on the road. Still sleepy.. I told him to come whenever and gave him our room number. He said he'd be over to get me in an hour or so. Five minutes later our room phone was ringing. My sister and I were both pretty out of it so we let it ring (well, we tried to answer it.. but didn't really make it in time). After that there was someone knocking on our door! We were both kind of nervous that maybe it was the hotel people and our TV was too loud or something .. lol.. because who else would it be?! I answered the door.. in my PJ's.. bed head and all.. and there was Steve.. on one knee (aww) with a ring.. and a 'jill, will you marry me?'.. I think I was too shocked to say anything!! His whole goal was to surprise me.. and I guarantee you.. he succeeded!!

He later confessed that he wanted to propose somewhere more romantic.. or, at least scenic! but, due to my incessant snooping and questioning.. he knew I'd be 'on to' anything else :) hehehe..
